Golf
On Thursday Mercy Golf headed towards the coast to take on Carlmont at Half Moon Bay Links. Mercy beat Carlmont by a total of 30 strokes and a final score of 256 to 286. Jaylyn Remolona ‘24 had the low score of the day at 43 and Eva Denten ‘23 was not far behind at 44.
Tennis
On Thursday Mercy tennis took on Crystal Springs. In a long afternoon on the courts the schools decided to play pro sets to make sure all lines were able to finish. Crystal Springs was the more experienced and beat Mercy by a score of 6-1. Emma Hanson ‘23 and Sachiko Syler ‘24.
Volleyball
Last Friday our Freshmen Volleyball team traveled Harker for a scrimmage. While no score was kept the team got off to an early start and rolled in both periods. Looking forward to hosting Harker next week for an actual game.
Yesterday the Junior Varsity team traveled to San Francisco in their first game of the season to take on the Urban School. The team got off to quick start in the first set winning 25-8. In the second set Mercy kept their foot on the gas pedal running away with a score of 25-4. A quick turnaround they will travel to Balboa High School Today.
The Varsity Volleyball team opened up their season at the Urban School. In a close 4 sets Mercy took the first set with Raquel Calderon ‘23 serving an ace to close it out. Katie Callagy ‘23 had a solid game in the middle Mercy battled in the remaining sets however Urban ecked it out with scores of 18-25, 26-28, and 23-25. The team looks to bounce back today at Balboa.
