For me the most rewarding part of this job is mentoring our athletes and this year was one of the most fulfilling of my career. In my second year in at Mercy I was able to support our athletes in championships games, on the mat at nationals and most recently achieving their dreams of making a collegiate team. I start every year with one word and this year my word was growth. Growth in all ways, from the amount of athletes participating to the direction of our programs. I am proud to say this past year Mercy Athletics soared to new heights. We celebrated League Champions, CCS Champions, and NorCal Finalists. We sent more athletes to CCS Tournaments and playoffs than last year and had greater finishes. With all of those accolades it is important to not lose sight of the hard work, dedication, and determination it took for our athletes and programs to reach their goals. When our athletes succeed we need to credit our coaches, parents, and our community. While I am extremely proud of our athletes when they are competing I am even more proud of who they are in our community and all they accomplish in the classroom. As we head into our summer break I hope that our athletes use this time wisely, if they are injured take the time to rest and recover so that they can enter into our Fall seasons healthy. For our athletes who are healthy I hope they attend our summer conditioning and continue to grow and improve their skills.
