This past week, I had the privilege of attending the CCS Administrators Workshop. These sessions have consistently provided valuable insights in state trends. At these meetings, it is often said that interscholastic sports are an extension of the classroom. I firmly believe that this phase of the day holds tremendous importance in shaping our community. Participating on a team at this level teaches invaluable life lessons, which are more crucial now than ever. These experiences can provide skills such as communication, collaboration, and personal growth. As we embark on the 2023-2024 seasons, I'm thrilled about the new partnerships we're cultivating on campus. Starting in the coming weeks we will debut our "Game of the Week" in which our student athletes will be inviting faculty and staff to attend from a whole new seat. The teams will have the opportunity to welcome a faculty or staff member as a special guest, allowing them to support the team, share the bench (with coach's permission, of course!), and truly become a part of the team. Welcoming Campus Coaches allows our student athletes a unique opportunity to invite their teachers and staff into their final period of the day.
