The Trophy for Excellence in Mercy Athletics is awarded to a senior who exhibits the values of the Mercy Athletics Department and inspires other athletes to do the same. This award goes to an athlete who has been an inspirational leader on and off the field or court, or has had to overcome challenges beyond her control. The athlete’s personal experience in the Mercy Athletics department has been transformational for themselves and others. 

This athlete has been a leader in both our volleyball and lacrosse programs for 4 years. Over the past two seasons I had the pleasure of watching her succeed in her roles on the court and field. Her teammates look up to her as a leader on and off the field. We talk about sisterhood here at Mercy and this student athlete embodies all of the qualities of a big sister. She is one of the first her teammates go to for advice and to seek comfort. She is also a favorite to get rides to and from practice and everyone wants to go in her Truck. Athletically she has grown into a CCS Champion and one of our leading scorers on the Lacrosse team.
