On Saturday Mercy Track and Field traveled south to compete in the Christopher Garlic Classic. It was a very long Saturday that saw many season and personal bests. The 4x100 team ran the fastest time by any Mercy Relay team since 2016. Mika Taira '25, Nicole Williams '25, Sydney Domingo '26, and Bailey Collins '25 finished 2nd with a 22 second season best of 4:28:23. Natalie Padilla '26 won the Freshmen Shot Put with a throw of 24'11". Sydney Domingo '26 was second in the FS in the 200m with a PR time of 28.76. In the 100m Mercy had three PR's with Madeline Branzuela '26, Dalilah Sanchez '25, and Marina Giuntoli '25. In the FS Disc Emma Murphy '26 had a PR a 46'5". Overall the team finished 7th out of 24 teams and continue to make strides as league begins.
