Cross Country traveled to Monterey to compete in the Jackie Henderson Memorial Race. A sleepy group of freshmen were picked up from the Frosh Sleepover held on campus. Out of 12 teams Mercy finished 9th. Running in her 2st race since Freshman year Mika Taira '25 was our top runner clocking in at 24:34 for the 3 mile course. Aya Matsumoto '25 was right behind her at 24:39. Guadalupe Sanchez '27, in an outstanding debut, finished as our #3 in 25:14, she moved up over 17 places in the last 1/2 mile of the race. Bella Webb '26 finished right behind with a PR at the 3b mile distance posting a 25:15. Dalilah Sanchez '25 was our #5 running a PR time of 26:02, over a 2 minute drop for s 3 mile race.
