The Senior Athlete of the Year Award is given to the Senior athlete who competed in multiple varsity sports throughout their Mercy career. This athlete must have been an impact player within the league and CCS as well as displaying the highest level of dedication to their team, leadership, and sportsmanship within the Mercy Athletics Department.
This year's award winner has been a staple of Mercy Athletics since she set foot on campus 4 years ago. This year she lead 2 out of her 3 teams to CCS playoffs. She anchored the volleyball team’s historic run through league, CCS championships, and CIF Norcal Finals. She earned WBAL ALL League Team in one of the toughest Volleyball leagues on the peninsula. Next, she led the basketball team through a tough schedule that eventually qualified for the CCS Championships. She leads the league in rebounds and when she wasn't around the rim she was sprinting up the court leading the charge on a fast break. I would know as she speed right past me in our alumni game. She earned MVP of the league for basketball. After basketball season wrapped up she grabbed her cleats and again made an impact on the lacrosse team. She earned All League First Team for Lacrosse. She has earned many accolades on the court she also was involved in our community as the GAA President for the past two seasons and the Student Body President.
