On Thursday Mercy competed in the first WBAL Meet of the season at The Kings Academy. It was another strong showing on the track. The team had 3 Season Bests and 23 Personal Bests. Sophia Knapp '23 was our lone event winner grabbing top honors in the 100m hurdles. She also was 5th in the 300m hurdles, 4th in the Long Jump (New PR) and was a last minute addition to our 3rd place finishing 4x400m team joining Aya Matsumoto '25, Mika Taira '25 and Nicole Williams '25. Karly Miller '23 finished 2nd in the Shot Put and 3rd in the Disc throwing a PR 69’11”. Natalie Padilla '26 was 3rd in the Shot Put with a PR throw of 26’ 4”. We had 2 events, Long Jump & the 200m where all of our competitors had PR’s. The biggest improvement in the Long Jump came from Maysoon Almasarweh '26. It was another great outing to build on this season.
