During the holiday break, our dedicated athletes took part in practices and tournaments, showcasing their commitment to our programs. It's no small feat for our families, athletes, and coaches to sacrifice their holiday breaks, yet it's an integral part of high school athletics, and I want to extend gratitude to all involved.
Just days after Christmas, our Basketball Team participated in a tournament, while our Soccer Team recently concluded their overnight. These journeys serve a dual purpose: fostering competition and camaraderie. They offer our athletes a chance to connect with their teammates beyond the gymnasium or the field. Both excursions accomplished precisely that.
Amidst basketball games, the team enjoyed bonding at the bowling alley. Similarly, prior to their soccer match, the team ventured to the coast to watch the waves and catch a glimpse of wildlife. A change in scenery, both on and off the court and field, is aimed at forming deeper bonds and, ideally, solidifying trust among team members.
