On Saturday Track and Field opened their season up at Serra against Westmoor and Notre Dame Belmont. The day marked a first for many of our team and the Bears had an excellent showing with 5 Event Winners and many Personal Records set along the way. Kaia Stormont '25 kicked off the string of wins with an impressive run in the 400m. Nicole Williams '25 followed with a wire to wire victory in the 800m narrowly edging out teammates Mika Taria '25 & Bailey Collins '25 by a combined 1.6 seconds. Sydney Domingo '26 won the 200m in Personal Record time, and Natalie Padilla '26 won the Shot Put. The 4X400m Relay team of Mika Taira '25, Nicole Williams '25, Sydney Domingo '26 & Bailey Collins '25 also found the top of the podium. The team had many Personal Records broken on the day but 3 athletes set 2 PR’s each. Gemma Nikravesh '25 in the 100m & 200m, Asling Weston '26 in the 200m & Long Jump and Tammy Zhen '26 in the 100m & 200m. Over all it was an outstanding start for the Bears for this young season. A Great first step on the long road to the WBAL Finals in May.
